Ronald Douglas is Managing Director of Janez Realty Advisors. In addition, Ron is Founder and Principal of Douglas Investment Company.

Ron Douglas and John Kocmur, President and Founder of Janez Properties, have been real estate industry associates and colleagues for more than 25 years. Both executives gained their initial real estate experience with major Canadian real estate entities and both were sponsored for executive positions in the U.S. in the mid-70’s by their respective corporate organizations.

Ron has served as General Manager & Chief Operating Officer of Freehold Properties, a division of Imperial Chemical Industries, based in London, England. He has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Murdock Development Company, a national development organization; and President and Chief Executive Officer of Rancon Corporation, a major California-based developer and asset management organization.

In addition, Ron, as Founder and Principal of Douglas Investment Company, has joint-ventured with Wall Street Investment houses and Canadian Banks. Based in Southern California since 1977, Ron has acquired, developed and managed more than 2.5 million square feet of office and 2 million square feet of industrial space, as well as, facilitated more than $1 billion (US) in sales of fully serviced master-planned communities.

Ron earned an Undergraduate degree in Business and a Graduate Degree in International Finance from the University of British Columbia. He has also earned his Certification as a Chartered Accountant. In addition, Ron has a 25-year involvement in the Urban Land Institute.
